Further information
From "Schweizer Hans" to the present day: over 100 years of hospitality
The Albrecht country house is far more than just a building – it is a piece of family history.
It was built in 1918 by my great-grandfather, the Mittenwald building contractor Johann Albrecht (also known by his house name "Schweizer Hans"), as the center of life for his family.
As early as 1930, his wife Anna laid the foundation for our current hospitality tradition. She cared with great passion for the first guests who came to the Werdenfelser Land region with the rise of Alpine tourism.
Over the generations – from son Max (“Schweizer Max”) and his wife Elisabeth to their children Max Josef and Anneliese – the house remained in the family.
Following extensive modernization, we continue this tradition today with our high-quality holiday apartments.

A look through our grandparents' photo album shows: The Bavarian way of life has always suited our guests perfectly! Here, two spa guests from Berlin pose in front of our house, clearly in good spirits.
It's a wonderful testament to the fact that travelers felt at home with us on Schlipferweg almost 100 years ago. A feeling we want to preserve for every one of our guests to this day.
